  • Interpretive Exhibits Master Plan

The Center for African American History, Art, and Culture will be an exceptional learning experience set in the beautifully restored Immanuel School in Aiken, South Carolina. When completed, the new center will be an educational resource, a venue for local musicians, artists, history buffs, and writers, and a forum for celebrating Aiken’s diversity and sense of community.

The History Workshop was pleased to work with Center to create a master plan to develop, design, construct, and install interpretive and interactive exhibits that will inform, inspire, and showcase the contributions African Americans make to our state and country. The Engaging History Hall will contain historical and cultural exhibits, audiovisual presentations, artifact displays, and interactive learning stations that will engage, educate, and entertain.
