Kolomoki Mounds State Park
Blakely, Georgia
Kolomoki Mounds State Park, located in Blakely, Georgia, is one of the more significant mound sites in the southeastern United States. The History Workshop created outdoor interpretive panels for the introduction to the park, eight mound sites, and the central plaza. The interpretation gives insight into archaeological methods used through time, occupation periods represented by each of the mounds, and various prehistoric activities that took place on the site.
