North Augusta Outdoor Sign and Education Program
North Augusta, South Carolina
In 2005, the City of North Augusta established a paved trail, called the North Augusta Greeneway, that stretches for more than seven miles around the city. To enhance the trail, the city contracted the History Workshop to produce a series of outdoor panels, each interpreting the history of specific areas along the trail. Along with the outdoor panels, the History Workshop designed a Web site outlining the information found on the panels. The Web site includes corresponding audio podcasts and a lesson plan, both downloadable from the site.
