Old Charleston Slave Mart Museum

The Old Charleston Slave Mart Museum has been a historical institution in Charleston since the 1930s. The museum wished to present the well-known panel exhibition "Lest We Forget." However, they faced the challenge of not being able to hang anything on the walls of their building. The History Workshop designed a series of free-standing walls and exhibit cases for the museums, one of the most important cultural sites in Charleston.
